Mark Gage leads the Center for Civic Education’s groundbreaking publishing efforts in traditional and new media. He also manages the Center’s digital content and social media platforms. Mark cofounded the 60-Second Civics podcast in 2009. The daily podcast and quiz, which recently reached 4,500 episodes, is used in classrooms nationwide as a warmup activity. An experienced editor and project manager, Mark joined the Center in 2003 from SAGE Publications, where he was a senior social sciences and STM production editor. Mark has an MBA in international business from California Lutheran University and a BA in English and French from the University of Nebraska. He also holds the Enterprise Content Management Practitioner (ECMp) certification.
